Quilting at
LongArm Lessons & Leasing
Moon Star Studio features a top-of-the-line, full-featured APQS Millenium LongArm quilting machine. With this equipment, you can learn basic operation and quilt a lap quilt in one 4-hour lesson!
All our classes are one-on-one, so you get lots of hands-on time with the LongArm.
To get started, why not treat yourself to Tea with the LongArm? You get to try out the LongArm under supervision, and plan your further LongArm work. Bring some friends and enjoy a LongArm party!

| LongArm Competency |
This 4-week course trains you in basic operation of the LongArm, freehand quilting, and your choice of one additional LongArm technique (Freehand Feathers, Stitch-in-the-Ditch, Pantograph, or Rulers). | 16 hrs for $379 |

| LongArm Techniques | This 10-week course teaches the full breadth of LongArm Techniques without worrying about machine specifics. | 40 hrs for $799 |

| LongArm Mastery |
A 3-month apprenticeship in LongArm maintenance and technique. At the end of this course, you will be fully competent to operate and maintain the LongArm, as well as learning technical issues you need to understand to have a LongArm service business. | 52 hrs for $919 |
Leasing Rates
Basic rates for supervised leasing are $35/hr.
Passing the Competency class drops the rate to $17/hr.
Passing Techniques drops the rate to $15/hr.
Mastery further reduces it to $11/hr.
In addition, discounts are given if you sign up for
a regular schedule on either a monthly or quarterly basis.
